The company began in 1881 as a rug cleaning business. While times and technology has changed, the baseline of our business remains the same. We still actually use a lot of the same methods in place over 100 years ago. For a short time, our company did offer installation and cleaning of wall-to-wall carpeting but this lasted about 20 to 30 years in the scope of our extensive history.

When Fred Remmers Sr., the second generation of the company, passed away, his son Fred Jr. decided to work toward a big comeback. He bought the five remaining rug-cleaning companies in Memphis to truly take hold of the market. Currently, the store is operated by Pamela Remmers who is part of the fourth generation of the Remmers family.
